Become a wildlife explorer for the day and discover what’s living right on your doorstep by joining our BioBlitz event! Our team of experienced naturalists and wildlife watchers need your help to find and identify as many different species of birds, bugs, plants and beasties as we can before the clock runs out. With interactive activities for kids, grown-ups, beginners and experts alike there is something for everyone!

Thursday 25th May, 8pm – 10:30pm. From 8pm come to Warrener's Cottage and make some hedgehogtunnels to put out around the estate. Then at 9pm join some local experts in the Walled Garden to learn all about bats and mothsat Forty Hall!

Friday 26thMay, 1pm – 7pm. Check in with the Bioblitz to see how many species we have managed to record so far! There will be opportunities to take part in surveys led by local experts in plants, butterflies, insects, earthwormsand after 4pm the chance to see a bat up close! No prior experience necessary as our guides will be able to tell you all you need to know.

There will also be a self-guided ‘Bioblitz Bingo’for you to complete as well as an ‘Identification Zone’in the Hall where you can speak to an expert about something you’ve found, understand more about the species that live here and to examine some of our residents under the microscope.

It’s going to be a busy day so come and get involved!
