London Natural History Society - The place for wildlife in London
Some of London's wildlife societies run day trips by coach from London for bird watching and other wildlife. These are typically up to a 3 hour drive radius and run at close to cost allowing people to have inexpensive guided wildlife tours to explore a variety of habitats in superb nature reserves further afield from London.

The London Bird Club (LBC) ran coach trips for 30 years with a pick up and drop off point in Central London. In 2018, the LBC committee decided not to continue this  and instead to recommend to members that they book with the RSPB Central London Local Group (RSPB CLLG) and the Marylebone Bird Watching Society (MBS) for those desiring a pick up and drop off point in Central London.

The Coach Trips are fantastic value for money and allow people to travel in the company of like-minded people for day trips. You could be watching migrant Brent Geese on the Norfolk coast or wild flowers on shingle beaches on the southern coastline. The  groups based in London typically have 8am departures and aim to return around 7pm. Many LNHS members have been traveling with them for many years. See the websites of the various group for details.
