Spring Fungus Foray in 2008Although Autumn is considered the traditional time to look for fungi, some species are around in Spring and Summer as well. In 2008 Ted Tuddenham will be leading a Spring Fungus Foray in Hyde Park on Sunday 27th April, to be follwed by a fungus ID session at Railway Fields nature reserve in Haringey on Monday 28th April. Full details in the PROGRAMME.
Autumn Fungus ForaysEach year during October, we undertake the fungus foray, where two or three experts lead a group, usually of around forty people, around a variety of sites in North London. These usually include Tottenham Cemetery, Alexandra Park, and Queens Wood, and we end up at Railway Fields nature reserve in Haringey where the haul is catalogued, and those specimens which our experts are certain are edible may be sampled. Full details will be published in the Autumn programme, which wil become available in August.
