One of the World's Greenest Cities

  • The LNHS study area consists of a circle of radius 20 miles (32km) from St Pauls Cathedral.
  • This encompasses the whole of the Greater London (GLA) adminstrative area, and parts of the surrounding counties, extending well beyond the M25 in many places.
  • Habitats available for study range from inner city streets and brownfield sites to farmland, lowland heath, chalk downland and the wetlands of the Lea Valley and Thames estuary.
  • We are fortunate that such a variety of habitat types are represented in our area.
