LNHS Photography Competititon 2008

LNHS members are invited to enter our 2008 photo competititon. The prize will be a hardback edition of a recent volume of the 'New Naturalist' series, of the winner's choice.

Entries should capture any element of London's natural history.

RULES

1. We will accept hard copies only, of size 7x5in. Digital images must be printed and cannot be submitted electronically.
2. These photos will be used only in the photo competition and will not be returned.
3. Entries are limited to 3 per person.
4. Entries should be accompanied by information as to where the photo was taken, what the items of interest in the photo are, and the date when it was taken.
5. Entries should be taken within the LNHS study area (within 20 miles  radius of St. Pauls) and should have been taken some time this calendar year (2008).
6. Entries will be judged at our one-day conference, ' London's Natural History - Past Present and Future', on Saturday 11 October 2008, and a winner will be announced at that meeting. (Details of the conference are on on our News and Events page).
7. Each entry should be marked on the back with name, postal address, and contact telephone number of person who took it.
8. If an image has been cropped, enlarged, or digitallly enhanced , details of the manipulation applied must be described in full on the back of the photo.
9. Entries must be submitted by 30th September 2008.
